Box and Spook Canyons- West of Socorro, NM these areas are in a desert environment and just over an hour south of Albuquerque. At 5,800ft of elevation this area has well featured rhyolite and a prime season of October – April. The hiking approaches in these areas are easy to moderate and there are a full range of climbing difficulties.
