How and when did you get started climbing?
I started climbing at Stone Age Climbing Gym with my roommates in college. That was 2007, climbing is still a huge part of my life but what I studied in school – not so much.
What is your favorite style/type of climbing?
Hard steep bouldering or easy long multi-pitch traditional climbing. I either want to be under 20ft trying my absolute hardest or just cruising on an all day journey for hundreds and hundreds of feet.
What makes climbing/guiding so special to you?
I’ve worked in the climbing industry for 9 years now and I still love it more and more everyday. Getting to share something I’m so passionate about personally with incredible people in amazing places is really quite special. I’ve established and coached youth and adult programs both competitive and recreational. I really enjoy helping others find their barriers and progress through them. Turns out climbing teaches us about life, and vice versa; and that’s really what I love to share with people.
